Privacy Policy
Effective: October 12, 2026
Overview
ARCANA (“we”, “the site”) respects your privacy. This policy explains, in plain terms, what information is handled when you use the site.
In short: there is no sign-up and no account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or anything you type. Anything you write about what’s on your mind, and your card journal, stays in your own browser and is never sent to our server.
1. Information we do not collect
- Identity information such as your name, email or phone number — the site has no accounts, so we never ask for it.
- Text you type — what you enter on the Ask the Cards page and entries in My Card Journal are processed and stored only in your browser’s local storage (localStorage). They are never sent to a server, and we cannot see them.
2. Information that may be collected automatically
- Our hosting provider may keep standard access logs (such as IP address, browser type and time of visit) for security and to keep the site running reliably.
- Once ads are introduced, Google and its partners may process visit information through cookies (see section 4).
3. How long information is kept
- Your questions and card journal in your browser — kept only on your device until you delete them. You can remove them at any time by clearing this site’s data (cookies and site data) in your browser settings, or with the delete button in My Card Journal.
- Access logs — kept by the hosting provider for as long as needed for security, then deleted under its own policy.
4. Cookies and advertising
We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties.
We plan to show ads through Google AdSense to support the site. When ads are shown:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. Learn more in Google’s advertising policy.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of other third-party vendors’ cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.
We may add Google Analytics later to understand overall site traffic. If we do, we will update this policy first.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. The site’s main features still work without cookies.
5. Children
ARCANA is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If paid features are introduced in the future, they will not be offered to minors (in Korea, users under 19).
6. Your choices and rights
- You can view and delete your saved questions and journal entries yourself at any time, as described above.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser and turn off personalized ads using the links in section 4.
- For any other privacy request or question, please contact us below. We will respond as soon as we can.
7. Contact
For questions or concerns about privacy, email us at [email protected].
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the law or the site changes (for example, when ads or analytics tools are added). Any changes will be posted on this page before they take effect.
9. Effective date
This Privacy Policy is effective as of October 12, 2026.
